Honor Our Minutemen! On this 4th of July, take a moment to honor local patriots who served in the Continental Army during the Revolution.  At 10:30 on the 4th, the Tate House, the Portland VFW, and the Stroudwater Neighborhood Association will lay a wreath at the Stroudwater Burial Ground, the final resting place of many who served in Washington’s Army.  We will also have a public reading of the Declaration, and a short historical address.  For those interested, Tate House Museum will offer a ticketed tour of the Revolutionary Residents of the burying ground at 9:00 am and another following at 11:00 am. Take a moment to reflect, and remember those who forged our nation 250 years ago.
