Special tours during Liberty Month, Saturdays in July!

Two walking tours: Stroudwater- A Revolutionary Neighborhood and Revolutionary Residents of Stroudwater Cemetery. We will also offer ticketed tours of our colonial garden, Tate House architectural tours, Tate House archaeology 1950s to the present, and curator exhibit tours. Tours spaces are limited and tickets can be purchased in advance starting June 24 by clicking the buttons on the July 4th page. Tickets will also be sold at our Visitors Center if available.

July 18 tour schedule:

Stroudwater Walking Tour at 9 am, 11 am and 4 pm

Stroudwater Cemetery Tour at 10 am, 12 noon, and 2 pm*

Garden Tour at 9 am

Architecture Tour at 9:30 am and 11:30 am

*For guided tours through the Stroudwater burying ground highlighting its Revolutionary Residents please wear comfortable walking shoes through taller grass and on uneven surfaces. Bring bug spray for mosquitoes and possible ticks. Tours last ~75-90 minutes including the walk to and from our Visitors Center, the Means House at 1267 Westbrook St. Portland.  Meet there just before tour time.
