ColoniAle: 250 Years! 2 Beers! 3 Cheers!

  • Tate House Museum 1267 Westbrook Street Portland Maine 04102 (map)

This year marks the 10th annual ColoniAle festival at the Tate House Museum in the historic Stroudwater neighborhood.  In recognition of the 250th anniversary of  the Declaration of Independence, this year’s program will focus on themes of the American Revolution including taverns and their importance in the lives of New England residents. Period-dressed docents will tell visitors about local colonial-era food and drinks. Don’t miss this popular event at Tate House, the place where history meets fun!

ColoniAle features a one-hour house tour followed by social time in the backyard where you will receive a Tate House pint glass and two pints of Mast Landing beer. Mast Landing Brewing is the generous sponsor of our event and is providing guests with their signature ale. Imbibing is encouraged!

Tours are offered at 3:00 pm and 4:15 pm with social time following from 4:00- 6:00 PM. General admission is $35 and Tate House Museum members are $25 in advance. At the door prices are $40 general and $30 for members. Each tour is limited to 40 people so buy early!
