School Tours

Tate House Museum offers School Tours to help students better understand the social, political, and architectural history of Pre-Revolutionary 18th-century Maine. We encourage student groups of all ages to visit from third grade through college. Resource materials may be available on request.

Our School Program includes a tour of Tate House and can also include hands-on experiences with reproductions of 18th century objects, similar to those that may have been used by the Tate family in the 1750s, 1760s, and 1770s. Students may examine, touch, and experiment with everything inside!
