Become a Volunteer
Want to join this group of inspired and inspiring individuals who are brought together by a shared interest in colonial history, architecture, decor, and socioeconomic issues? THM Volunteers lead tours, greet visitors and complete transactions in the Gift Shop, maintain the gardens, educate school groups, serve on the board of directors, and engage through committees.
Tate House Museum is a member of the Portland History Collaborative. If you are interested in becoming a docent, please visit the Portland History Docents (PHD) website. The “PHD” is a program to recruit and train docents for a number of historic sites in and around Portland.
