Honoring
Elizabeth Oatley
For
Dedicated Service in Museum Education


WHEREAS, Elizabeth Oatley joined our museum volunteer community following her retirement as a middle school librarian and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Oatley became proficient and highly skilled interpreter of the Tate House and its historical significance and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Oatley rose to the occasion in organizing our volunteers and making her enthusiasm and commitment contagious and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Oatley assumed the duties of Chairperson of the Education Committee and methodically and meticulously executed the responsibilities therein with great authority and diligence and

WHERAS, Elizabeth Oatley became known in our museum as a great organized and conscientious leader of volunteers and docents and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Oatley became further recognized as Volunteer of the Year by Altusa and was honored throughout the realm for her many abilities and hard work in volunteerism and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Oatley developed and conducted elegant cemetery tours for the public

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Oatley assumed leadership duties throughout the year by also chairing our year end FROLIC COMMITTEE….and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Oatley regularly performed all her leadership responsibilities with unwavering dedication and success up to and beyond her desire to retire from the leadership of the TATE HOUSE EDUCATION COMMITTEE….

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of the Tate House Museum hereby honor and commend Elizabeth Oatley for her many ongoing years of service to and for the Museum with deepest gratitude and appreciation.
