FALL RAMBLE, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2010

. . . a Fall Foliage Ramble along the coast of Maine to three wonderful sites: the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland, the Olson House and the Coastal Botanical Gardens at Boothbay.
The Farnsworth Museum has two outstanding exhibits: Wyeths' Wyeths which includes works of NC, Andrew and Jamie Wyeth, and Rug Hooking in Maine and Beyond, an exciting folk art that is currently enjoying tremendous popularity. Lunch was at the Olson House, which is the scene for Christina's World. The Farnsworth Chief Curator, Michael Komanecky, joined us for interpretations.
Opened in 2007, the Coastal Botanical Gardens include hillside gardens, a kitchen garden and the Lerner Garden of the Senses, newly opened this year.
